Not affiliated with PBLI
PBL Stats is an independent, unofficial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected in any way to PBLI (PBLeagues) or any league, event, team, or player it documents. Any team or player names, logos, or event names that appear here belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe publicly available tournament results.
Where the data comes from
Every record in this dataset was captured from pages that are publicly accessible on pbleagues.com — no login, private API, or authenticated access is used. Captured pages are parsed into a provisional data model, and team/player identities are then resolved across events (see below) before being served through this API.
Accuracy, and why the same real team might appear twice
This is automated, best-effort parsing of pages that weren't designed to be machine-read — expect gaps and occasional errors. One outcome that looks like a bug but is a deliberate choice: entity resolution here only ever merges two records automatically when their names are exactly identical (after normalization) or share a confirmed external id. Names that are merelysimilar — a club fielding "Hydra Kidz" alongside its adult "PaintballFIT" roster, for example — are never merged automatically, because on real data doing so would have been wrong often enough to matter (see the API docs' note onresolveEntities). So a club's different divisions, or a name that was spelled two different ways across events, can show up as separate entries here. That's caution, not a data error — but it does mean "the same team" and "the same resolved record" aren't always the same thing.
Coverage is partial, on purpose
Capturing pages happens under a strict politeness budget (at most one request per second, one at a time) out of respect for pbleagues.com's own infrastructure. That means not every page, event, or roster has been captured, and some responses will honestly report incomplete coverage rather than guessing. A response's meta object surfaces this — it's worth reading before treating an absence as "this never happened."
Youth and minor players
Some PBLeague divisions are youth divisions, and their public rosters may include names of players who are minors. This project mirrors those names exactly as they appeared on PBLeague's own public pages — it does not add any information beyond what was already public. There is currently no dedicated contact channel for correction or removal requests.
